When it comes to high-gloss or mirror-polished stainless steel surfaces, mirrorINOX offers traditional and new, pioneering solutions for applications
in architecture, yacht- and shipbuilding, for the automotive and electrical industry, medical technologies, container- and silo-manufacturers, machinery and engineering, aerospace and many more.
Even for the most demanding art projects, mirrorINOX`s polished quality is selected by the artists and designers.
In principle, we differentiate between technical applications, which require for instance the lowest possible roughness (Ra value) of the requested surfaces.
Such properties play a major role especially in the container- and silo-manufacturing, mechanical engineering, food and medical technology, where adhesion
to the stainless steel surfaces has to be avoided by using material that bears a maximum of smoothness.
Other customers request certain reflectivity from the metal finish, for example in the lighting industry. A mirror finish best reflects their demands.
Another more and more popular use of the mirror-polished stainless steel sheets is found in architecture, shop-fitting, ship- and yacht-building, where the focus is very strongly set on an optically first-class result in terms of the visual quality of the stainless steel sheets.
Adding to its flawless appearance, more advantages are the low weight ratio compared to glass mirrors, the very good workability and, immensely important when used in public buildings or other highly frequented locations such as trains stations, airports and others, the properties of break-proof, fireproof and vandalism-proof protection.
mirrorINOX is your ideal and competent partner for all polished stainless steel surfaces of the highest quality: High-gloss polished, mirror-polished and various other levels of surface treatment.
However, since the very common terms "high gloss polished" or "mirror polished" often do not provide a very clear definition of the product, mirrorINOX
defines its self-produced and distributed mirror-polished surfaces in several quality levels such as Mirror No. 7, Super Mirror No. 8, Marine Mirror No 9.
and Perfect Mirror No. 10®, in order to create more transparency for the customer when inquiring and more clarity when ordering the material. That way,
you choose your preferred mirror finish to your liking.
During the mechanical polishing, the surface is removed by our polishing lines and the help of polishing agents to create a finish as flat, smooth and flawless
as possible. Only after that, the actual mirror polishing takes place.
Depending on the base material, base surface finish, various machine parameters and processes, different results (qualities) can be achieved. The measurable values such as roughness and gloss plus the visual impression and approval serve as the base of control.
Especially with the design applications in the field of architecture, yacht, shopfitting, lighting and furniture construction, the high quality products manufactured
by mirrorINOX are in great demand.
Whether we polish stainless steel for yachts or shops: You can always expect the highest quality from us. Even in the extremely quality-sensitive sector of art,
our products are well known and highly recognized by most of the famous artists, however they like to remain anonymous. Mirror-polishing stainless steel is
our lifeblood and we treat it as such, aiming to achieve the perfect level of mirror finish.
mirrorINOX not only offers you mirror-polished stainless steel, but also a vast variety of products and services in the field of stainless steel surface treatment.
With the expertise and experience of many years, mirrorINOX is the manufacturer of the world's largest range of different quality levels, such as Mirror No. 7,
Super Mirror No. 8, Marine Mirror No. 9, Perfect Mirror No. 10®.
To do so mirrorINOX uses stainless steel grades AISI 304 / 304L, 316 / 316L, 316Ti and even 318.
Due to its unique expertise, mirrorINOX is able to manufacture these products in dimensions or lengths, widths or thicknesses that cannot be found anywhere else.
A particularly outstanding example is the "Rock" art project, for which stainless steel sheets in dimensions up to 15,000 x 3,600 x 15.0 mm and up to a weight
of over 6,400 kg per single sheet were polished to Perfect Mirror No.10® quality.
Further treatments of stainless steel surfaces in the highest qualities are also manufactured by mirrorINOX: Grit-polishing, vibration-polishing, beadblasting, fluidforming, PVD / TiN and nanoINOX®-coating.
